Leonid Meterorite

Leonid Meteorite Nov 18 2006
EOS Digital Rebel XT, ASA 1600

150sec exposure time
Autoguider: none

I set up 5 hours of automated continuous exposures from 8:00 pm to 1:00 am, facing East  to capture the Leonid meteorites on the evening of Nov 18 2006.  They were supposed to peak at 11:45 pm with 3-4 meteorites per minute.  After examining 80 images throughout this time, only two appeared to have meteorites, and these were at ~8:30 and ~8:45pm.  The 150 sec exposures result in short star trails.
